Glasfryn is an established 24 bedded Nursing & Residential home, with mature grounds providing a peaceful surrounding. The home is directly opposite the much valued and popular Park Howard. We focus on person-centred care to meet individual needs. Service users who come to reside at Glasfryn are respected and empowered to make individual choices on a daily basis, taking into consideration cultural, religious, health and dietary aspects. There is a Qualified Registered Nurse on duty 24 hours a day 7 days a week and a really good team of qualified care workers who have gained QCF Level 2 & above with Gower College Swansea. We have a registered in-house Physiotherapist who can assess and focus on individual needs. Chiropodist who visits every 6-8 weeks In-house hairdresser who visits twice a week Access to activities are out reached to the community and in house, transport is arranged and staff accompany residents. Our activities include resident musician, plus a variety of other entertainers, beautician who gives aromatherapy and nail care treatment, Arts and Crafts coordinator who also enjoys therapeutic gardening with residents. Provide a choice of menu which includes 3 course meal 3 times a day and snacks on request. We source fresh vegetables from the local area. Have access to Audiology, Ophthalmology and dentistry. Provide staff to accompany residents to hospital appointments. Are approximately 10 minutes walk from Llanelli town with a regular bus route. Have an open visiting policy and relatives can speak to a registered nurse at anytime.
