Tregerddan Residential Home is located in the village of Bow Street to the north of Aberystwyth. The Residential Home is located within close walking distance to the village shop, bus routes and other local amenities. The home offers 28 residential placements including short term, temporary, permanent and respite. Bedrooms are situated on 2 floors. We also provide a small number of Day Care opportunities. We provide residential care and support to older people with a variety of complex needs which may include age-related cognitive decline and an early dementia diagnosis. The home works closely with the GPs, District Nurses, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapists and Specialist Nurses from the local Health Board whom we can contact for support and advice at any time. Each of our residents is registered with a GP along with offering the services of an Optician, Podiatrist/Chiropodist and Dentist. Key to the home is providing an environment that is bilingual and culturally centered to the resident’s needs. All residents, families and carers are encouraged to participate in the development of their own ‘My Life Memory Book’. We work on a person centered approach exploring activities that meet the needs and interests of each resident.
