Hafan Deg Residential Home is situated in the University town of Lampeter. The Residential Home is located within close walking distance of shops, post office, bus routes, cafés, restaurants and other local amenities. The home offers 20 residential placements including short term, temporary, permanent and respite. We also offer the service of Day Care for a maximum of 2 individuals. There is also a Day Centre located at Hafan Deg that has a capacity of 30 Service Users with separate staffing. We provide residential care and support to older people with a variety of complex needs which may include age-related cognitive decline and an early dementia diagnosis. We work closely with the GPs, District Nurses, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapists and Specialist Nurses as and when required. Each of our residents is registered with a GP along with offering the services of an Optician, Podiatrist/Chiropodist and Dentist. Key to the home is providing an environment that is bilingual and culturally centred to the resident’s needs. All residents, families and carers are encouraged to participate in the development of their own ‘My Life Memory Book’.
