Awel Tywi is a purpose built Care Home that opened in the 1970’s. Over the years it has benefitted from significant upgrading and refurbishment work always striving to maintain a high standard of accommodation and facilities to meet the care needs and expectation of the people living there. The Home is registered to provide care and support for up to 38 people on both a temporary and/or permanent basis. This includes the provision of 1 respite beds, 8 beds for people diagnosed with a low to moderate dementia and 29 general residential beds. The accommodation is at ground floor level with some office space and additional storage on the first floor. The Management and Staff Team at Awel Tywi are committed to providing a high standard of care and support to all Residents living at the Home. We endeavour to support a personal sense of identity and value, demonstrating that individuals are heard and listened to, in order to achieve specific outcomes based on ‘what matters’ to them.
