The principle philosophy of our care at Maes Y Felin focuses on the importance of supporting resident’s physical, mental health and emotional well-being, through promoting independence and rights, to ensure residents have a voice and control over their day to day life. Residents are treated with respect and dignity where practice ensures that all individuals are safeguarded from abuse or neglect and are helped to develop their full potential.
Maes y Felin care home accommodates for both male and female residents over the age of 65. We have nineteen single rooms that are fully furnished and individuals are able to bring their own possessions and furniture within limits of the space available. Four single bedrooms are located on the upper floor and the remainder of the bedrooms are located on the ground floor. Maes y Felin is able to support the needs of the elderly and age related ill health, such as physical disability, mobility support, diabetes, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. We can also support elderly individuals with low dependency learning disability and difficulty. Maes Y Felin has the capacity to support one Individual for day services. Maes Y Felin care home accesses nursing care support, guidance and best practice advice from the district nurses, diabetes nurse and community psychiatric nurses who visit on a regular basis. We also have an excellent service from four local GP surgeries that cover all emergency needs. End of life and palliative care at Maes Y Felin is both fundamental and a natural part of our practice. Undertaken with dignity and continuing to support the choices and decisions of individuals in how this process should be delivered. Maes y Felin promotes flexibility towards the range of changing needs that comes with age related ill health.
