Care Home Category: Residential

Bryn Illtyd is a well-established care home, set in its own private, landscaped grounds in an elevated position, with panoramic views overlooking Carmarthen bay and the Gower Peninsula. The property dates to the early twentieth century and was converted into a private care home and first registered in 1986. Bryn Illtyd is situated in the small Welsh village of Pembrey, between the two main Carmarthenshire towns of Carmarthen and Llanelli. Pembrey provides easy access to local amenities and community services with bus and train links to the M4 motorway. There is a very close Welsh community where traditional family values remain strong. These values and links between families and friends are encouraged and valued in the home. Bryn Illtyd operates as a limited company and is registered with the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) under the terms of the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016 to provide up to 39 places for male and female requiring personal care and Dementia care needs, over the age of 50 years. One of which may be used by an individual (who’s needs can be met) who is under the age of 50. Anyone under the age of 50, or with needs that fall outside of our registration category may be considered on an individual basis and only by special consideration from CIW to temporarily vary registration.
