Maesllewelyn is a purpose built facility that opened in 2006 replacing the original Home that had been on the site since the 1970’s. The Home is situated off the main street at the end of Church Lane in attractive gardens next door to the Park. The Home is registered to provide accommodation for up to 40 people, with facilities divided into 5 units over two floors. On the ground floor there are 8 beds in the Cawdor Unit, 2 providing short term residential reablement support and 6 beds providing long term care. There are 8 beds on Cilgwyn Unit providing long term care and support for people diagnosed with a low to moderate Dementia. On the first floor there are 3 Units - Dwylan, Teifi and Nest accommodating a total of 24 people, 22 on a long term permanent basis and 2 beds for short term respite care. Maesllewelyn is supported by Emlyn Surgery GP Practice in the town and also by the Teifi Surgery Practice at Llandysul. The Management and Staff Team at Maesllewelyn are committed to providing a good standard of care and support to all Residents living at the Home, aiming to support personal identity and aspiration of Residents in a safe, comfortable and homely environment in order to achieve positive outcomes.
